Monique Austria, M.Ed., BCBA

Hi there! I'm Monique! I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University, and a Master's in Special Education from Pennsylvania Western University. I've been supporting autistic children since 2017 as a behaviour interventionist and in 2020, as an ABA Support Worker in the Surrey School District. In 2024, I received my certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

At First Connections, I wear a few hats! I’m an on-call classroom supervisor and also take care of our website and social media — so if you’ve seen our posts, that’s probably me!

Outside of work, you'll find me binge-watching horror movies or exploring new or trending restaurants with my partner, or hanging out with my dog, Sushi. 

Seeing our students grow, thrive, and walk into the school with big, excited grins makes me happy!
