Jamila Mberwa

Hello, I'm Jamila Mberwa. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. I began working with autistic children in 2018 as a Behavioural Interventionist. To expand my skills and knowledge, I earned a Certificate in Disability and Applied Behaviour Analysis at Douglas College. I am currently working toward becoming a Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA). 

At First Connections, I have the privilege of serving as a classroom supervisor at Dr. F.D. Sinclair, where I oversee the classroom activities and help provide a safe space for the children and fellow workers. 

Outside of work, I enjoy going on walks, reading, hiking, cooking, learning new languages, and playing sports. These activities help me maintain a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle. 

What brings me joy is seeing a child's progress and achievements. I believe in celebrating every success, big or small, and working closely with families to support meaningful growth.
